2017 Beaujolais Nouveau 750, $13.99

Beaujolais Nouveau provides the first view of the harvest. And this year, it wasn’t clear sailing. Frost, hail and then drought resulted in limited quantities of small grapes with tough skins. In the end, thanks to some rain, the harvest delivered on quality with the ripe grapes producing great wine.

Casillero del Diablo Rose 750, $12.99

This is a special wine, and not a variety, but a style. Casillero del Diablo is made by vinifying red Shiraz grapes as if to make a white wine. The result is a refreshing wine with attractive strawberry, raspberry and cherry aromas with flavors of blackberries and plum. A refreshing wine that is closer to a red than a white.
